16 Jun There is a Buzz
John and I spent the weekend at the Lake Eden Arts Festival, where we had a booth and taught a class on sustainable living. It’s such an eclectic, joyous and family-friendly event and it was a pleasure to meet so many new people, many of whom told us that they had been hearing about the events at Laughing Waters and Hickory Nut Forest Eco-Community. It’s exciting to know that the LEAF energy resonates with what we are co-creating here: fun, conscious and family-focused events and living.
Laughing Waters has been bursting with activity, which will continue into the summer. Last month more than 300 folks attended events and work projects on the mountain, from the Wildflower Hike to Earth Day Celebration. In the next several weeks we will be hosting internationally renowned healers Rosalyn Bruyere and Ken Weintraub as well as the Massage & Bodywork day (NOT just for massage therapists!)
The community garden is abundant as well, producing a plethora of strawberries. The mulching is really paying off as the grape vines look like they’ll be the most prolific since we’ve been here. There is a lot more gardening activity to come, so stay tuned for future opportunities.
We’re looking forward to sharing the place with you. Come join us in the garden, at a Laughing Waters event, or just to hike one of the trails on the property. It’s always a beautiful retreat. Hope to see you soon.
Blessings,
Jane, John & everyone at Laughing Waters Retreat Center & Hickory Nut Forest Eco-Community
P.S. Let us know if you’re looking for retreat space rental. There are a few spots available.
